Mary from Savannah

Covington is about 30-40 miles (guessing) east of Atlanta. Not near Savannah at all, I'm afraid......
But it pretty close to me here in Monroe area! My daughter used to live in Savannah(Pooler) and is moving back there soon!

We haven't been here too many years so I'm not familiar with all the towns around the area. Just trying to find someone fairly close to Savannah. Thanks for your reply.

Stepping Stones Quilts on St Simons Island is about an hour south of you, has classes and should be a good place for you to meet some other "quilty types". Don't get put off by the shop's somewhat disorganized appearance; just ask for what you want. (There is a method to her madness and she understands it!) She stocks so many bolts that some inevitably are stored under cutting tables, in the classroom, etc.....

That sounds like a neat place to visit. I'll have to drive down and spend a couple of hours. I pretty much do all my business in Garden City, which is only 30 minutes from me, at Sew Much More. Matter of fact I pretty much do all her samples for the store weather it's quilts of all kinds or embroidery items. I don't "work" for her but I'm pretty much there every Tuesday for several hours just trying to look around and figure out what she has gotten in new the past week. She keeps me very busy. I also teach a few classes there but have had some health issues but I do enjoy it. Thanks for the information and I'll certainly check it out.
