Just put the first load in the washer. Each piece I took for a fat quarter was at least one yard, many are more. Yup, I'm going back tomorrow.

I had a nice find one time. 6 garbage bags of material for 10.00. My son found it at a garage sale. I separated it and took it straight to my washer. I spent the rest of the day washing, ironing, taging yardage. I had a huge mess !
I knew I would never use all of the material so I sold 4 boxes on Craig's List. Got my son's money back and plus I kept the rest. lol
