Thank you so much. I was just curious.

Hi, the book I used One Block Wonders Encore includes some patterns for some cubes. There is also a third book by the same authors called "OBW Cubed" and that has directions for even more cubes. It is just a fun way to add color and dimension to OBW quilts. I don't know that there is a formula for where to add them, it is totally up to the designer to decide if and where to add cubes.

Hope this answers your questions. :P

It is very eye appealing.
I really hate to ask but what is OBW? I am just not up with all these initials used on this board.

I see now that it is one block wonder but I have no idea what kind of pattern that is.

Coolcat, check out this link for books on the one block wonder.

It is a technique where you line up your one fabric repeats and cut them into little triangles that you match up to create cool kaleidoscopes. It is similar to stack and whack if you heard of these.

Beautiful! Love the elephant in the corner. It still amazes me at how OBW changes the look of the fabric.

Thank you very much for helping me understand and for the limk.
Yes, I did a sort of a stack and whack a couple of years ago. I think I would like to try it but right now I have some projects that have to be done by summer.
Seems like I am always behind.
