My local Walmart never did get rid of their fabric department, and I have been seeing nicer fabric coming into the store. All the other Walmarts in my local area quit selling fabrics a couple iof years ago. It would be nice if all the stores would get the fabric dept back.

I'll believe it when I see it at my local store. They aren't very service orientated when they did have the fabric.

About time Wal-Mart came to our town wasn't to bad they then built a SuperStore and closed down alot of other places to shop here. And then they choose what we can buy and can't (if you live in a small town and it is over an hour away to a large town)So I am glad to hear that they are finally listening to people.

I was very happy when Frankenmouth MI won their fight to keep a Wal-Mart out of their town.

Sorry but I will still not shop at Wal Mart...they knew how most crafters felt about removing fabric from their store and they did it anyway,so now I will continue to shop at another big name store. Just my way of letting them know I ment what I said about going elsewhere if they took out the bolts of fabric.

We are so limited for fabric shopping options around here that I'll be happy to see it back! I did see a manager piling a table with bolts of fabric the other day but thought it was leftovers from a while ago...it was the type of fabric you would buy to sew prom dresses.

I hate our Walmart here as it is, so never went in when they got rid of fabric, but ours got it last fall. One of my friends is a greeter there (after having an executive job at Kodak) and told me. I love Walmarts in the South because everyone is so nice, but cashiers here act like you owe them a living. I called the manager once to complain and he told me, "I don't even tell people which Walmart I work at, it is so embarrassing." Now THAT is saying something!!
