Gutterman thread is one of the highest quality threads out there. I wait for the 50% off sales to purchase. I have used it for over 10 years and have never had a problem. I am sure you will be pleased with the results.

Love the colors, love the thread. I always like to quilt with varigates when I can. You can use a thread in your bobbin that better matches your backing, just be sure the weight is the same as the top thread or you might have problems.

I am using Gutterman thread for hand quilting right now. It is great and doesn't tangle.
Have you ever used BOTTOM LINE for the bobbin thread? It is a very fine thread and just seems to melt into the fabric. I have used a neutral color on several machine quilted quilts and it blends in so well. Since it is so fine your bobbin holds LOTS and requires less stops for refilling.
