was thinking about it and wondering how many of us are doing it? I think I might have a quilters garage sale and sell off a lot of stuff I don't use. Are any of you having one this spring?

Yes! I just bought a house and moved and I'm sorting out as I unpack and when I'm done I'll have a yard sale for every thing I don't need and stuff that doesn't have a place to live in this house.

we all get together in our areas like ohio Florida etc each group of us hold one big sale of all our extra sewing stuff like our own quilt show but with a bunch of us each having a table selling off our extra stuff. I think this is a good idea maybe 10 or so tables there are usually that many of us in an area and invite all the quilt guilds in the areas we could make some serious cash. Instead of a craft show we have a sewing sale

we would have to have a room such like our senior center in town here has a big room they rent out for 50$ I don't know about permits do craft shows need permits? Have it under the auspices of the seniors and then give them a donation we don't need a permit. It would be a fundraiser

What quiltinghere said...I'd spend way too much money buying other peoples stuff. It's also the main reason I don't try to get a job at JoAnn's Fabrics :)

I am hoping too!...I have a ton of extra dishes/serving pieces that never get used so I want to clear them out. I have some quilt books that I don't use any more so I am thinking I will get rid of them too!
