Love my Berninas. Just purchased the Series 8 830 a few months ago. Haven't had a chance to use it much but it does almost everything but the windows. Even has a built in clock with timer. Will use this to remember to pick up grandkids from school. Haven't heard about a new machine but do know they are pushing software for quilting using a frame and the 820.

The Bernina 830 is $2000 off for the two the dealer here has. Either with or without the table you get $2000 off. When I sew on the machine I feel like I'm not sewing but operating a machine to sew. I don't like the feel of it. It's hard to explain, I just don't feel it.

I think I read they're coming out with something in the 600 series. Not sure.

I just got the 830LE. Awesome machine. I have a 930. Traded my 200E in on a 830, didn't like it, traded up for the 830LE. The 830 just didn't have the right feel to it.

I want a pressing Elf!!! Where do I sign up for one??? LOL.

An Aurora like my 440 with a longer arm would be the perfect machine... even without the Pressing Elf.

One of my local dealers sold two 830LEs just this past weekend.

My dealer sold out of the 830's & ordered 22 more! He sold 2 LE's in one day in Feb at an event. His store is always busy.

On patternreview.com, SewBusy posted that H.P.Ueltschi (forgive if misspelled!) announce a new Aurora 500 series coming out this summer. I'm dreaming of a longer harp and dual feed on a 555 :) 5 is my favorite # The anticipation is helping me stay away from the 820 which is calling me. It says, "Maia, your kids don't need college..."

The dealer here gets me upset. She gives me the impression she is resentful that I won't buy one to help her out. Her remarks are said as teasing but it's getting tiresome to hear them.

I understand. There are 3 Bernina dealers near me, and at one there is a gal that says, "shall I wrap one up for you?" anytime I have a question. I think she thinks it's funny, but it seems dismissive to me. Anyway, I got my 440 from one if the other dealers :) I realize how fortunate I am to have a choice.
