I love your Lone Star, the colours are breathtaking and as others have said, I admire anyone who can make this pattern come out so wonderfully!

When I'm having trouble making points match I use a basting stitch for about 1 " on either side of the point. If it matches I resew with a regular stitch. If not it's not that hard to pull out the short section of basting and start again. After 3 tries, it looks "good" no matter what.

Forgot to say--When you show your quilt to anyone don't point out any errors. Just accept the complements with a smile and a thank you.

It's beautiful. If you don't like it, send it to me. I went to UT, and the colors were orange and white. :)

What a good story, and your quilt turned out as well. Thanks for sharing.

I know I am a newbie, but I can't see the problems. What ever and where ever they are, they don't stick out. I think it is one of the nicest and most colorful tops I've ever seen.

Sometimes we are our worst critic. You did a great job with a pattern you were not familiar with.

Thanks for sharing your story. We all learn from these postings.
