Either smooth jaz or soft classical music playing on the stereo. So Relaxing.

opera, especially the Italian masters like Puccini. Also new age or ambient, sometimes Native American flute. Esoteric, yes, but you asked! LOL

I listen to TV, my parrots in next room chatting, my dogs barking at someone jogging or biking in front of the house, very rare thank goodness. But really do not hear anything as I am in my own world.

I sometimes have the TV on and sometimes I listen to audiobooks downloaded to my MP3 player.

I usually have silence when I sew - I listen to the birds outside; listen for the timer on the washer, dryer, and stove; listen to my dogs moving around (and talk to them quite a bit!) but I turn the radio off. It's so nice to have peace and quiet at home after listening to all the noise at work.

When I'm doing hand-work in the quilt-hoop or sewing on binding I plunked in the LazyBoy with the TV going!

Mostly quiet as I look out at the garden. If hours sewing day after day I'll watch old DVD's from the library. Love BBC productions, classics, or kids movies. Not one for TV. If music-wide range from rock-n-roll to classical, dependent upon my mood.
