Just try it...can't you return it if you don't like it?

Maybe. I am awfully shy about returning things. I wouldn't know the difference between the 98 and 2000, though. So even if I try the 2000, I have no idea about how it compares to the 98. We don't have a dealer here, so I wasn't able to try it. I want to mostly piece with it and I heard you cant go wrong with juki. :)

So did you try the TL-2000Qi? or did you return it....I am curious, I am thinking of getting a TL-2000Qi---you like it?

Sounds you got a deal if you kept it, just curious.

I would start sewing right away! And yell YEAH I got the latest model for the price of last years. I think you got a great deal. You can't go wrong with the TL2000.

Here is the information on the machine you received:

    http://www.raichert.com/tl2000qi/tl2000qi_juki.html

If you read the first couple of sentences it will tell you that it has a couple of features the 98Q didn't have like LED lights and improved foot control.

The Juki TL2010Q was the machine that replaced the 98Q if you read in the left side column on the description:

    http://www.raichert.com/TL2010Q/tl2010.html

I don't think you can go wrong with the machine you received but it is your personal preference that matters. I love my 98Q but as always manufacturers are always trying to improve and upgrade their machines.

If the 98 is no longer available and is being phased out could be your supplier does not have the 98 any more.

I just bought a 2010 juki, and had asked opinion, everyone loved Juki. I think one of the comments is that the 98 isn't being made anymore, but I could be wrong. I am patiently waiting for mine, since I have a couple of quilts that need to be FMQ by May 20
