I'm thinking about making a GFG but I'm wondering how to quilt it after it is made. There are so many quilts I would like to make but at my age (80) I think I will have to be very selective :-P . I'm hoping to start on the GFG in another week or so and I know it will take a long time but am thinking of making a twin bed size.

Hi & welcome from Chicago! You could make it with hexagon papers from Connecting Threads(online). Use larger hexagons to make it go faster.

Yes, I thought I would use 1 1/2 inch (per side) hexagons.

Another problem, should I make it scrappy or with a design? I'm leaning towards scrappy. You know, put them all in a paper bag and pull one at a time.
