Scrappy table topper for my daughter

This is such a wonderful gift for your daughter. This is REALLY what quilting is all about, isn't it? Memories stitched lovingly into a gift for someone very special. That was a unique way of saving all those dresses also, since those old dresses would normally just be stuffed away in some box...unseen.

And here's the really scary thought: I didn't own a sewing machine. I know, I know: CRAZY! But necessity is the mother of invention and we were poor. So we managed to buy nice fabric and make nice clothes. And she didn't know we were poor!

How very, very nice. I'm sure she will love it. I have a girlfriend that received a quilt at her wedding shower, like yours the fabrics were from different times during her life. Also in the package was a small photo album (1 4 x 6 per page) in each picture you could see the fabric in its original form, a dress, pillow case or even dorm curtains. Do you have any pictures, maybe you could give that as a gift sometime.
Good Work.
