Welcome from MD. I am just getting into this (mainly because i am pretty new to machine embroidery and just now getting brave) so I look forward to the discussions.

Hi and welcome from Massachusetts. I have used machine embroidery to quilt my quilts. The last one I did was for my mother. The top was a floral print set on point inside a box. I alternated the floral blocks with a solid color blocks in a coordinating color. I used a solid colored backing. I got a several designs from the "Embroidery Library" They were outine designs. I got a one large on that I used on the solid color blocks and a smaller one for the sashing and border. She puts to floral side up in the summer and the back up in the winter. The backing is solid maroon and the embroidery design looks like snow flakes. I hope this makes sense. It's hard to decribe.

Welcome from Oregon! We have a Bernina 630, but haven't tried it with quilting projects yet!
