Many years ago my mum could no longer fix her treadle machine, so dad took off the machine section and found a 3 foot X 2 foot piece of marble and made a plant table that use to sit in the gazebo now its out in the garden but has always looked a little unique and I thought special

I found a "New Home" base with all the parts at a yard sale in 1976 & a local carpenter put a beautiful oak top on it with drop leaves. It seemed to be calling me to buy it & fix it up as we had just moved into our newly built home. It's one of my favorite pieces.
I think you should go for it.

Actually, I have one I love! Someone found the neat drawers from another machine at an antique shop, and made the table. I bought it at a fundraiser where the creator donated it. Actually, it's too neat to sew on. It is in my entryway, and I use it to display other treasures.

No picture, as I am not computer savy enough to know how to do it. Sorry!

I have one in my family room - being used as a table. The machine is still in it, however I have never even tried to see if it works. People comment that the love the 'table' and what a great use/idea.

These make the greatest tables!!! I have two treadle bottoms which we made two tables for my sewing room. I love them. Buy them and enjoy!
