Last week a local paper reported that Walmart was going to stock fabrics in the stores again (to try and regain clientele they lost when they made their previous decision to phase it out). I found you need to look at the bolt carefully as I too have experienced loose weave in their fabrics.

I was at WalMart last night. Purchased 2 pieces that are better quality than I purchased online from a quilt shop. And WM was half the price. I also notice they have a lot of new fabric in and it all looked very nice and color coordinated. Most is on shelves. Stacked up on a table is some of the less expensive and less quality fabric. If you know your manufacturer, you can purchase with some degree of what you are going to receive.

My trips to Wal-Mart are the only thing I do just for me Fabrics and to get my supply of Tony Packo Pickles MMmmm
