Thanks for all the nice compliments. But trust me, anyone can do this. I can not tell you how many times I un-do my stitches and never never atempt a stitch without instructions in front of me. The majority of my stitches are not very complicated. The complicated ones were made with a friend telling me what to do as I actually did and I can gaurantee, I will not remember how to do again .And just like anything else...practice practice, practice. But it sure is fun to embellish.

Thanks. Second one was a very special one to me. It is a photo of Great Aunt I was raised with and special memories of her.

Mine isn't as fancy as yours but I did do differant stitches on each seam in this checkbook cover

I love what you did in your quilt blocks!! The embellishments fascinate me. I will have to play with that sometime. Hmmm that would make an interesting Doll Quilt for the swap!

Your quilt is truly a work of art. I am almost afraid to show you mine but here it is. The 1st one was made from prom dresses. I used the beading and trims just as they were on the dress. The small one has keepsakes that were my Moms and some that are mine. When I have it displayed I tie our wedding rings on the center ribbon. I hope I can get the pictures posted.

Love this. I've loved crazy quilting all my life. One of my aunts used to do it and I loved the firelight making the velvets come alive and sparkles from whatever she was embellishing it with.
But hers didn't have all the pretty embroidery that yours does.

I made a pretty but lesser one for a wedding gift for my step-son's wedding. When they split, she kept it and all I have is a picture. Now if I could only find that, I'll post it.

Now that I've seen your lovely quilt, I'm going to rummage through all my doll dress making stuff to see if I can start someday soon.

How long did it take you to make this? Years? Months? And are you planning to show it?
