They are sick of chasing carts all over the parking lot, Aldi foods has done this since they open and it helps get the carts back where they belong! Works for me

We have that at an ALDI`S store here. It`s not so much that they charge people for using the cart, But so that they don`t leave them all over the parking lot. When you bring it back to the store, you get your money back!

OH...BUT NO..NO..NO... With so many carts being taken home for one reason or another, this is a PERFECT way for the carts to be returned...and you get your money back.

Aldi Grocery Store has the same thing and MAN...IT WORKS. !!!

Shopping carts are expensive to replace. If they disappear a lot the stores have to do something. The first time I went to an Aldi's I thought it was strange but it does keep their carts rounded up.

In Australia the Aldis sell a token the right size for the trolleys so you don't have to use money. Here it is $2. I have one in my purse and car keys. There are no trolleys left anywhere. Most of the supermarkets here have the same system.

when you take the cart back and put it back in line, your quarter is pushed out, you remove it... you are not paying for a cart, you literally get your quarter back as a reward for returning the cart to its proper place. How many times have you not been able to use a parking space because a lazy person simply left the cart in the parking lot.

Actually I rarely "pay". usually someone will just hand off the cart to me then I do the same for the next person. 25 cents is pretty cheap "rent" to keep carts where they belong.
