Quilted simple quilt when I was very young, but I caught this bug/obsession, when I retired at 62. Only have a pathway thru my sewing room. That's o.k. though, just me and my Yorkie girls live here.

I have been quilting for about 7 years, off and on. I have not made a queen size or bigger yet but I still hope to make that masterpiece!

36years. My first project was a Sun Bonnet Sue baby quilt for my niece. I was a junior in high school and wanted each dress to be a different pink print. Back then pink calico fabrics were not very plentiful. I begged scraps from every aunt and acquaintance of my moms. It turned out pretty cute.
My next quilt was a quilt as you go log cabin in browns for my in-laws new water bed.
I have never bought a kit for a quilt. I just figured our why while writing this post. I guess I have always enjoyed the "hunt" for just the right materials. I would rather find my own, making the quilt truly my own rather than just a copy of someone else idea as to how the quilt should look.

I have been quilting for about 35 years, it started when our church was making quilts for a shelter. I have been quilting ever since.

Made my first quilt in 1972 when I was in nursing school. So total of 40 yrs although I didn't really "get into it" (read get addicted) 'til 1985.
