Welcome, coleensangel and Xylie. I'm sure MJ will be glad to add your names to the list. It is great having a group that cares about each other like this one.

Just came from WalMart. The May pattern is adorable, and the colors are nice - yellow and black, but it's AE Nathan fabric and rather thin so I haven't decided whether to get any. Probably not, but the yellow floral is very tempting. No disrespect meant for anyone buying it. Like I said, the colors are very tempting.

Thank you so much.Looks like a determined group. And sure we could all use the fabrics, more importantly,we need to lost the weight. It's not easy, but slow and steady wins the game.I know I did a life style change, and just need to get back on track. And like now,I fell off the horse, but am back on as of today,Joining this will be a comitment and incentive to lose.I wish everybody the best.I feel bloated and puffy with that 15 lbs gain.Don't like it at all that I did that.Good luck to all.

We ate Mexican for lunch which was too many carbs and cereal with strawberries for breakfast. Supper will be really light as I'm not even hungry at all. Did 15 laps around the yard (we have a big yard) and raked leaves for about an hour, plus cleaning house and doing laundry. At least I didn't sit around all day and munch.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Hehe! Always keep them guessing is my opinion! LOL!

How do you like canned salmon? I LOVE salmon but have never had it canned. In 24 days I am having surgery and after that I will want to eat things like that salmon because of the protein and omega-3s.

Welcome all newbies. This is such a supportive thread.

What I'm doing different is drinking water.

Have a good day everyone!
I am having weight loss surgery. I started my journey to getting the surgery weighing over 470 pounds and I am only a few pounds above 400 now. My surgeon is requiring me to be under 400 in order to have the surgery. That is why the weight loss is such an urgent thing for me. Make sense?

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Wow! You were one busy girl! That is excellent. I went to the gym and repeated my workout from yesterday and added some weight training too.

Yay for all of us for getting our bodies moving no matter how small it might seem!

I have pm'd each of you to ask you to participate and tell us something about yourself. I'll start the sharing.
I am 53, disabled, and trying to improve my health. I have congestive heart failure and have lost 90% of my lung capacity, so strenuous exercise is not an option. I eat 1200-1600 calories a day, and started losing weight last August 26, 2010. I didn't really get serious until Nov.1, when my weight had only changed 5 pounds and I was fearful of being permanently in a wheelchair. Some days I'm mobile and some days I'm not. I can't leave the house when the temp is over 80 degrees F because I can't breathe.

I am claiming that good support and friendship is the key to lifetime change. Knowing I have someone struggling with me is very important to my mental health. I really appreciate ya'll walking this path with me.

Today I had a salad for supper, so I stayed within my calorie limitation. I got a few extra hugs today. And I went to the gym and did interval bike riding for one mile. That was difficult for me but I survived. :-D

Missy, you are doing fantastic! You are my shero!
Sandy, you've been on such a journey, and you are stronger for it!
Irish, I just went to Goodwill and bought a king-sized black 100% egyptian cotton pillowslip for $1. And a XL men's 100% cotton shirt for $3. This was the Hong Kong cotton, very nice hand. Wonderful for my scrappy quilts.

I bought a new digital scale at Goodwill. This weighs in 10ths of a pound. My previous was getting to where if I held my tongue a certain way I could drop a pound. I suspect my weight will be up tomorrow, as I'll adjust to the new scale then.

How about you? Who are you? Why are you here? What are your challenges? What is easy for you?

missy, yes, i like canned salmon. it's a quick protein/fish. yes, more fat, and calories than a lot of other fish/tuna. but is very satisfying. right out of the can. no heat or anything. add a low calorie veg and makes a nice meal. it really fills you up, and sticks to your ribs.

ok, ok, ok, i'll go get my exce bike out..... quit your pushing. everyone....

MJ thx for sharing. glad you had a good shopping trip.
