I have been quilting since 1990. I started with a quilt group that did hand quilting. In 1997 I started machine quilting, as that is what the group did that I joined with. So I have been quilting 21 years. Machine quilting is easier and faster. I enjoy doing either. I just love quilting.

I started quilting with my church group 25 years ago, making mission quilts. I loved sewing sqaures together and really got serious about quilting. My first quilt for myself was made out of an old pair of bedroom curtains. I usually make about 5 or 6 quilts a year for myself to use as gifts, besides still quilting with my church group.

Hated home ec and sewing but decided to try quilting in my 40's. I told my mom it seemed like as an American I should make a quilt and make jelly. I have had so much fun with the quilting I have never got to the jelly. Getting real close to 15 years and about 50 quilts. The first one took 2 years and was a crazy quilt pieced by hand. Took my first class to make my 17th quilt so there was a lot of trial and error but once I got on a machine things have moved along much more quickly. I am loving it and having great fun teaching others.
