Hated home ec and sewing but decided to try quilting in my 40's. I told my mom it seemed like as an American I should make a quilt and make jelly. I have had so much fun with the quilting I have never got to the jelly. Getting real close to 15 years and about 50 quilts. The first one took 2 years and was a crazy quilt pieced by hand. Took my first class to make my 17th quilt so there was a lot of trial and error but once I got on a machine things have moved along much more quickly. I am loving it and having great fun teaching others.

I made my first quilt when I was a junior in college...I would have been 20 then and am 56 now...so that was 36 years ago.
I have learned a lot between then and now...and once rotary cutters were around it sure got a lot easier to make a quilt!
