My mother gave up quilting after she found my brother was using the quilt she had made for him in his trunk under his tools...to protect the trunk from his greasey tools. Mom was absolutely heart broken at the time.

I haven't seen the commercial but I agree with all who say the quilt should be used. My very first quilt pieced and quilted by me was for my first granddaughter two and a half years ago and my daughter keeps it hanging up and displayed. I want it used by my granddaugher until it needs patching!

Yes, i'll have to keep an eye out for that one too. Sounds like a good one when so many commercials are sooooooo stupid.

Yes poor quilt. Memories priceless. I have a quilt that has been used by 3 generations very warn but still cherished just the same.
