Definitely an I not a one. Looks like a 127 or 128 so check the serial number on Singer web site and see if it checks out. :-D

You done good. I was in a goodwill last weekend and saw 2 treadles. Both looked worse than yours and they wanted $200 each for them. They had been $300.

I called the Singer 800 number, the rep said it is they don't have serial number starting with the letter "I". She was able to find the records on serial number "14041510". It was made November 30, 1896 and it is a model "27". Thanks everybody.

Does the digit between the 4 and 5 or after the 5 look like a '1'? If so you can use that as a guide to figure out what first digit is.
