I finally learned to just hang up without guilt. You can only take just so much.

Idespise these kind of calls. My husband keeps getting calls from the diabetic supply companies all the time, on his cell phone . he doesn't have diabetes and tells them that and not to call him anymore. They still keep calling . very annoying.

According to law, if you say no 3 times, i believe, they are required to hang up. If they don't, just threaten to call the FTC and report them.
I never get calls from any of them! I told them I was seven years old!

Just do what I do. I ask them to hang on a second and set the phone down and let them listen to the tv until they hang up.

I NEVER answer my house phone unless I KNOW who it is - and only than IF I want to talk to them!

yes it is annoying at any time - but just remember - they are only doing their job - how would they know what time you went to bed
yes they may seem rude but they are reading from a script and to keep their job - when you say you are not interested they have to say the next thing on the list in front of them

consider this - at least they are working and not on welfare or unemployment or benefits of some kind!!!

I usually just politely say sorry I am not interested and hang up - saves us both time - even though I feel bad - because they are just trying to make a living too!!!

I know they wouldn't know what time I went to bed but when I say I was sleeping, they could at least say sorry for the early call. He was just rude. Next time I will just be rude (and I try not to most of the time) and just hang up without saying a word.
