Does anyone know when the 221K was made. A friend gave me her featherweight and the manual says 221K but the machine doesn't have any number that I can find that relates to it so---it may not be a 221K? How do I figure out what it is?

Do turn it over and look on the bottom...should have a serial number beginning with two letters and several numbers. Then go to the Singer web site to find its year.

Thank you---I found it was born on May 10th, 1951 and 50,000 were made in Elizabethport (factory) Elizabeth, N. J.
Now I'll just have to search around to find out what it is worth.
