    What a marvelous tutorial. Thank you. I was curious as to whether it would be a good idea to stitch all of those folds in place? The only point of securing them looks like a pin when they are all done? Thanks.

    i did go back and stitch down the folds after I was done as they kept wanting to pop out of their place

    thnx for the answers on how far apart the fabrics in the stack are laid...
    i was in a hurry to take something with me camping so i just placed them 3/4" apart...it was definitely too much...altho i did come out with something kinda neat so i may yet finish it and keep it altho i do really want a folded dahlia lol

    so maybe i will try again with the 3" x 6" blocks...we will see what comes

    I still don't understand the concept of using fabrics cut 3 x 6 inches. You would still be dealing with right side vs wrong side when folding back the pieces?

    If you place the fabrics right side up they will fold over correctly...

    Please what do you mean by folding the 3 inch by 6 inch longways pressing and then "opening up".

    When I sew all 7 pieces together on the backing are the strips (6 x 3) folded or are they flat pieces of fabric?
