Former member here. I joined when I was 9 years old.
My first projects were cooking and sewing. Made a tea towel and hemmed by hand.
Then after that I joined the Holstein Dairy Club since we had a working dairy farm. Was a member as long as I was allowed to be.

Great experience. Also how I met my husband of 37 years.

I took Leathercraft in 4-H back in the mid-60s, where I learned how to hand-sew leather.

I was in 4H for 7 years. I'm still an advisor and serve on several committees. My kids were in thru H.S. My DH was never in 4H but has been active as an advisor ever since our kids joined.
My grandma was a 4H leader. my dad was in 4H. so were my siblings and their children.
4H is one program I will support as long as I am able. The lessons and values I learned have stuck with me all my life.

Yes, I am a former 4-H member. I dropped it in the 10th grade and I am so sorry I did.

I was also in 4-H years ago. Did cooking, sewing, home improvement, canning and such. Lots of good memories. My last year in '63 I received Grand Champion in sewing and style revue. But now that I'm quilting I'm not good enough yet to even try entering something in open class. I haven't made a garment in ages but sure do like quilting up things.
