Yes, I have made a few on that idea. However, it is good to remember that little tykes won't be interested in or able to put all the equipmet back into the "correct" pockets. I've found it best to limit the number of pockets and make them large for small hands to use.

If you could make a small quilt with pockets that folds up and has handles on the outside. Little ones will color on what ever is under the crayon. Pews, floors, benches, etc. It would allow him a small space for quiet time and kinda keep the mess contained. Maybe a small road for him to follow and a church at the end of the road, perhaps Grandmas home at the other end of the road?

i REALLY like this idea...HOWEVER, i'll be using duck fabric. hmmm, maybe ducks on the inside and a cross on the outside? he loves crosses...his daddy is in his third year of seminary and this is vicar year.

You could add on some I Spy features to this ... check the thread from the other day, there were LOTS of ideas!

Probably need to have only quiet activities - l think I would hesitate to include any writing materials - pens, colors, markers - yet - because the little ones do tend to mark on "whatever"

Maybe a place for a container for cheerios or fish crackers?

pockets for small stuffed creatures?
