I’m working on my third quilt. The first two were scrappy, but I bought the different fabrics to give the scrappy effect. I love all the colors. Scrappy feels friendly to me.

Both as how do you get scraps if you don't do planned quilting? I like doing many fabric quilts and buy lots of fat quarters, so have a lot of variety of pieces. SO there are always scraps. Usually will cut smaller pieces leftover into squares ranging from 6" down to about 1 1/2", below that I save in a bag and pass on to a friend who does minis.

Hi Lacey, it's beautiful. I can't even tell that it's a scrappy quilt. Great job!

I just can't help myself but I save scraps. I used them a lot on a paper piecing project & ever since then I just cannot toss them out. I'll have enough for all of us pretty soon. LOL

I'm a scrapper! Love how the chaos comes together to make a very comforting quilt.

I do both but scraps are my favorite, just grab and sew!

How easy is that?
