I have a Tin Lizzie 18, too! I've done a few dozen quilts for charity and the 5 grandkids, not for anyone else. Took a class on domestic machine free motion quilting from Sharon Schamber and found I can transfer what I learned to quilt on the frame with the long arm, too. Sharon is a very good teacher and her quilts are amazing!

What is the difference between the HQ Sweet Sixteen package and the other different machines out there that are on a frame? The price on the Sweet Sixteen is more affordable for me but is there a drawback to that type of setup?

Innova 26" on a 14' frame. Someday hope to have the computer system for it. Do quilt for others but also have a full time job outside the home. Do love quilting and longarming! (Expecially with my Innova! Used a Ken Quilt for a few months and it was having to be adjusted constantly.

Someone asked to see a larger picture of my avatar quilt. It's a needle turn applique that I have been working on for >5yrs. My friend started hers at the same time and the photos are her completed quilt that I quilted. Now she has challenged me to finish mine! This is a pattern by Susan L. Powell called Celestial Dream. Was out of print for a while, but I heard that it is being reprinted.

Hi.

I'm a longarm quilter. I bought an A-1 Elite and spent a few months quilting constantly, then opened my professional longarm quilting business in 2005, and I've been happily busy ever since.

I usually spend my days longarm quilting for clients and then spend my evenings hand quilting for myself. I like the technique and the look of both kinds of quilting.

I bought a gently used HQ16 a year ago. Love it!! I just do my own quilts. I want to have time to do "my" stuff and wouldn't have time, if I did it for others.

Love your avatar. What pattern is it? Do you have it posted on the board anywhere? Would love to see the whole quilt. :-D
