I use vinegar for about everything mentioned on here, plus,
I use it to get rid of cooking odors when I fry bacon or burgers, and especially if I fry fish of any kind. I just sit a small pyrex custard cup on the stove or counter top, and fill about 2/3 full and the odors go away. I can't stand to go out the next day and come back in and smell what I cooked the night before. Won't do it with vinegar.

I use white vinegar instead of fabric softener. Just put it in the machinne where the fabric softener goes. Whitens, softens, and cuts static

White or appli cider vinegar can be used on almost anything for cleaning. Also for stomach remedies.

I pour some vinegar on my cutting board before chopping onions, helps to keep the crying down. Also my podiatrist recommended vinegar soaks after surgery. Softens skin too, hands and feet.

Really, does it kill the weeds? I ask because I have an iris bed which is half weed and half iris and don't want to hurt the flowers but would love to kill the weeds.

I would like to know if it really kills weeds? I wonder if it would kill cheatgrass? Our farm is loaded with it, spraying the whole farm would be impossible but I wonder if certain areas could be controlled? I am going to give it a try. What ratio of vinegar to water do you use??????? Inquiring minds would like to know!
