Connecting Threads has pre-wound bobbins. Cotton, white, black and an assortment, made for quilters. I don't think it is wise to use thread made for embroidery machines for machine piecing. We put too much time, effort, and money into our projects to have them later fail due to skimping on thread

I use pre wound, but lately, I have had problems with not being able to find the end of the thread. I end up cutting them with a small mini utility knife.
I was having so many problems with the bobbins winding too tight when I wound my own, I have never had a problem with the pre wound. I even figured out what I was doing wrong and now I have a lot of bobbins wound when I do a project, I don't have to stop and wind!

I am celebrating bec I stumbled into this thread, I HATE winding bobbins .... absolutely HATE that chore. I have tried the prewound ones with little relief, but I was buying cheap. Now I have a place to go to and know what to look for. Thank you, thank you, thank you

I use size L in my Brother SE350 (Sew/Emb) machine, but my Brother PE770 (Emb only) takes the size M which are larger. The sales sites usually have a chart or references but in any event usually a phone number and you can call and tell them what you have and they can tell you what it takes.
Love them!!!
