Vinegar also cleans rusty bolts and nuts. Put the offending fasteners in a bucket and cover with vinegar. Let sit a day or two, then thoroughly wash the nuts and bolts. Use a wire brush if needed to remove any stubborn debris. Make sure that you use plenty of water to rinse because the vinegar will continue to eat away at the metal. After they are dry spray with some WD-40

if you are on a fat free diet then one table spoon of cider vinegar in a quarter glass of water will help break down any fat you eat and so help to dispel it faster so it does not have a chance to get digested
put some malt or white vinegar into water to clean your windows , tiles or mirrors. sponge over and then use newspaper to dry and polish for a real sparkle

I use it to get rid of cooking odors when I fry bacon or burgers, and especially if I fry fish of any kind. I just sit a small pyrex custard cup on the stove or counter top, and fill about 2/3 full and the odors go away. I can't stand to go out the next day and come back in and smell what I cooked the night before. Won't do it with vinegar

I can't believe no one has said this yet....I use it to cure heartburn! If I have really bad heart burn, I'll drink a couple of teaspoons of raspberry vinagrette dressing and away goes the heartburn. I usually just try to eat a salad every day with the dressing.

Clean windows, washing machines (run a full cycle), bathroom, in fact, anything at all. I also use it to bathe wounds - stings a little, but stops infections.

Back home -- in the Amish areas of Southeastern PA -- You will find chicken barbeques going everywhere on Saturdays. From the time the chicken hits the grill until it is removed, all that is done is to spray a mix of 50 percent water/50 percent white distilled vinegar.

When a huge amount of chicken is being done they use a sprayer (like the kind you would use to spray plants in a garden) with the mixture. I use a sprayer that can hold 2 gallons of fluid.

This is the only way I make chicken on a grill anymore. My daughters refuse to eat chicken if it has any other kind of sauce on it. The flavor is wonderful and the chicken is always juicy (not dried out.)

Been doing this for 45 years, now, and see no reason to change.

I had the shingles about three years ago now, and nothing I tried would stop the severe itch. I discovered that vinegar was the wonder drug for me. While using white vinegar in my sink drain one morning, which I do on a reg. basis the itch was really severe, I had tried so many things that I decided to try vinegar, poured some in a bowl, got a clean wash cloth and dipped one corner in the vinegar, patted the cloth on the itchy spots and instant relief from itching. So after that every time I began to itch out came the vinegar, worked every time to stop the horrible itch. I only wish it had worked on the severe pain.
My mother always rinsed my hair in vinegar when I was a child.
I will have to try it on the greasy spots in the laundry. Always use it mixed with water to clean windows. Thanks for the tips.

I use it to clean grout. Just use full strength. I use a bottle with a nozzle and pour along grout lines. Scrub it in with a toothbrush or thin brush. Wipe clean with water and let it dry. You will be amazed!!!!

Mix equal parts vinegar, rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol, and water. A couple drops in each ear after showering or swimming can prevent "swimmer's ear" infections. It's also good to use in the ear canal of dogs with big, floppy ears who tend to get smelly, yeasty infections from playing in the water. Squirt in a generous amount and massage the ear area well, then let them shake it out. Just don't put it into ears that have an active infection when the dog has been scratching from the discomfort. They won't thank you.

I use it in the final rinse when handwashing my handknit socks. Since they are wool (protein based fibers) they are acid and using this in the final rinse acts a bit like a softener and also helps remove all the soap.
