I think the blue and pink read as a solid. either need to add same two on other side or separate them (one of each side). Colors are very pretty and pattern is cool!
Can't wait to see the finished quilt

I'm not loving the two florals with the white background in the top right and left hand corners. I think it's too much white. I do like you pattern and block however. It will be a soft and mellow quilt when done.

I love the pattern. What is the name of it? I do think your block would look better with more contrast. Maybe more solids with the florals?

Some people have referred to it as "card trick", but it is different from that. It's called "Spinning Color Wheel" and is on the Quilters Cache website http://www.quilterscache.com/S/Spinn...heelBlock.html

I think you did a great job. I would suggest checking online for photos of the block. When I made my first quilt, I did not know about contrast and was more intersted in how well the fabrics "matched". I believe your block is supposed to look like cards-picture them overlapping in a fanned circle.

try alternating light, dark, light, dark, etc, but I would not use solids. I would use all prints!

It is pretty, and I thought it was the card trick which I really like, so maybe a little solids like mentioned will do it justice. You are doing a good job, post after you decide the outcome. Thanks for posting and asking our opinions. You have a blessed day.
