So, I go to my quilt guild meeting last night and they talk about how to put on borders. I realized I messed up. I am worried that the one I put on the Fairies quilt might not lay as flat as it should. My design wall is over a light switch, so quilts never lay flat. I just have never put on a 7" border before, so when it arrives, please see if it lies flat, please. I am worried. I don't know why I seemed to struggle with that border more than the previous ones, and it was the simplest. Here are some pictures of the borders...

The whole quilt... or at least what I could take a picture of...

Here is the other one...
I bought the fabric in a nifty little shop in Santa Fe, NM over Spring Break.
When you get it, you might notice that some of the embroidery is stiff. I started out using wash-out stabilizer, but after about half of them, I ran out, so I used tear-away.

It didn't all fit on my design wall

It is the fairy quilt I am concerned about. The crane border was measured differently. I did that in sections, so it was not one long piece. It should be fine. Thanks for checking when you get it though. I am still learning.
