Good Morning all,

I'm on a downward spiral right now. Yesterday was not a good day for anything but water intake. I'm supposed to leave to get my girls in about an hour and a half and I still don't have a vehicle to go in. Mine is in the shop. My evil BIL is threatening to report me for stealing if my sister loans me her car. My friend offered to loan me one of his clunkers, but I can't drive a stick and even if I could, I'm leery of how reliable it is. I'd hate to break down halfway between here and Missouri with my girls!

Needless to say, I was not having a good night last night and I resorted to my old habits. I ate jelly beans!

The only good thing I did yesterday was that I dug out, dusted off and used my ab-lounger. I have lost a good amount of weight this month (if I don't stress-eat it back) and need to focus on belly flab.

I swear, if it weren't for my nieces, one nephew and my mom, I'd move off to the hills and change my name. Maybe Canada?

Well, I'm going to go get my chores done, use the ab-lounger and then pace until I find out how I'm going to get my girls.

Please don't keep kicking yourself about your fall from the diet wagon.Today is a new start. I am sorry to hear about your car problems. I am blessed as my husband is a mechanic and can work on our cars. Do you have public transit available ? Hope today is better.

Good morning,Well, today we should hear something from Missy. We should of told her to have Kathy or her mom let us know how she was getting along.I haven't been doing worth a darn lately. No change.7 pound loss.Which is twice as much as I generally do I guess. And am happy to still be going down the scales. Not good enough for the fat quarters tho I'm afraid, but good enough for me to keep trecking down the scales. So,I'll take it.Will see if next month is as good,I'd be happy. So,good luck.I'm shooting for the 100 pound mark for next month.Which would put me at 150 pounds. That way I have a new goal to meet.Right now I'm just coasting. Those stupid pills messed me up all the way around.Set me back 8 pounds.Anyway, have a safe holiday weekend, don't over-eat.I plan on continuing my course, even if it is slower, may kick it a little to get going again. In fact,Id like to lose 35 pounds this summer.Have done it before.Hope we hear from missy today.

Happy Friday Everyone!

Sandy, I am glad that some things are returning to normal for you.

deedee, I feel for you. I'd be rich if I had a dollar for everytime I wanted to vanish. Hang in there.

Xylie, your success is impressive. Another 35 pounds for me would get me at my ideal weight! I wish you much success. How do you lose 35 pounds in 3 months?

Tomorrow we begin cycle 3 of the 17 day diet. Need to read up. I know we start restricting our protein. DH doesn't want to add any carbs, so I'll have to adjust my plate. He doesn't seem to be having the success that I'm having. I personally think he is being too restrictive, but isn't listening to me. At least for both of us - the scale is ooching down every week.

Gotta go pick up my kid from school. Love to all.

Dee Dee Hope you get your girls somehow. to all of us any downward scale movement is a good deal to me.I wish I only had thirty five lbs to lose. But I did put a nick in the chunk so I am happy. I never would have stuck to it without all of you. Thanks again. Mary

Well, I discovered that while popcorn is still really good for my blood sugar, it does tend to cause you to retain water. Gotta watch it on that one. Well, I have another possible pound off, but I don't count it unless I get the same reading 2 days in a row.

Well, yrs ago when the liquid diets came out 30 yrs I think,I went a liquid diet of sorts, except I had a huge glass of chix broth with a few crackers every day when I got hungry and had the liquid drink. Now I would go on spirutien for 2 meals, then a light supper. That stuff is from the health food store, and tastes good, and fills you up.The weight falls off.And it has all the vitamins and nutrients we need.I tried the Vitamin world brand, but it just didn't work.It is $30.00 or so a big can,so is expensive, but works good. And I don't use milk,I use non dairy creamer from walmart the powdered kind and mix it with water,as it has no cholesterol, and no fat.only 10 calories pr spoon.Only thing it does make me pee.But I feel good on it.

Didn't weigh today. I have a really bad reflux problem and I was up all night vomiting stomach acid. Nasty, nasty, nasty. Because it was bad last night it burned my throat and it hurts to eat right now. Which is a good thing. I am drinking lots of cold water. Was able to share a sandwich with hubby for a late lunch. Going to the movies with my son's girlfriend tonight, will skip the popcorn (it would hurt anyway to eat it) and probably something liquid before I go to bed.

Hope Missy's operation went well. We should hear from her soon.

Hope Missy is doing well today. Everyone seems so concerned about her.
This whole week has been a bummer for me. Too many interruptions and side tracks to watch everything I eat. Yesterday I paid royally for a big food mistake. Think I must have some gallbladder problems. At least I'll stay away from fatty and fried food for quite awhile now. Tomorrow is Saturday so I can start paying attention and recording foods again. Hopefully by Tuesday I'll have a little weight loss.

Oh,you poor girl,I wonder if antiacids would help.My hubby use to ALWAYS get gout, till 3 1/2 yrs ago,the dr. put him on prilosect, 1 X a day 20mg.And he hasn't had an attack since.I know it's because of those pills.I'm sure it would help your reflux.then you wouldn't have to worry if you eat the 'wrong' food that it would trigger an attack like last night. That's awful,I don't get that very seldom, but it isn't fun,and esp when it comes out the nose too.Ever done that? Yuk! burns like fire,so I know what your saying.I looked it up after I read your post. And losing weight will help, eating the right foods, gum helps too,it said,so we got to get you going next month.I got to get me going next month too,so we'll do it together,ok?OK! Glad your better, now.
