    "It's My Party" is the quintessential roller skating song!! Boy, we used to whiz around to that one, weaving in and out of the slower skaters. Those were the fun days!

    Fun memories!! Of course, I was just a wee girl... well, maybe not so wee :lol: , but I loved the music...

    I was in middle school and my boyfriend and I met my best friend @ a party. He danced with her all evening and dumped me the next day. I was heartbroken. That song was played @ the party. Boo who!!!

    As a child, my mother played music all the time. She wanted to teach us music appriciation. She played everything. Johnny Cash, Johnny Mathis, Leslie Uggams, Theresa Brewer, Glen Cambell, Fats Waller, Elvis Presley... there were slews more, I'd be typing all day but, yes I do remember Leslie Gore
