Gladys, nice mugrug. This has been such a creative outlet for us all. I just love seeing all the different interpretations we have.

Here's my bio...finally. Sorry it took so long..
    It’s titled “ I am Blessed”
It represents God, Faith, Country, Family and Friends.
The butterfly represents change, Metamorphosis, as in life, once we reach adulthood
There is constant change, then eventually Heaven, the ultimate. The cross represents my faith but also there was a cross that used to inspire me as I would drive to Western Carolina University for my Undergraduate and Graduate degree 7 yrs later. Although a small thing at the time like in my picture the cross means everything! The mountains that I love also represent my parents, constant, dependable, steady, a continual source of inspiration who provided me with a strong positive foundation for life. I was so lucky to have my parents who I loved and cherished. The flowers on the blue background are all the people who have come into my life that have helped make me who I am today. The butterflies and daisies are all my family, friends and blessings God has given me like my two wonderful God given friends back home. On the other side is me waving the flag. I am very patriotic and never want anyone to forget the men and women who died and fought for our freedoms. My Dad was a WWII Vet. I miss him so but he was a man like no other and a wonderful parent as was my mother. ..Their love story was one you could write a book about.
As I worked on it I was amazed with what I remembered and wanted to say and the finished product .I’ve never done anything like this before…I hope everyone likes it.
Your bio is touching, i can see it all within your self portrait. great job!

    The explanation for my mugrug:

Pink Ribbons - Always remember your monthly breast exams or let this rug be a reminder everytime you use it.

The rug pieces represents this what you (Lindyline) and I have in common.

Army uniform piece (I got it from the inside of one of my uniforms that I still wear) - represents what I do and my patriotic spirit for my country that I wanted to share with you

Heart - made with the various shades of Sienna (an actual color and town in Italy) and the heart represent the love we have for the little Siennas we have in our lives.

The Quilt - this represents what ties all of us together and is a very necessary part of our lives

Dog Paws - We quilters love our pets! They are our comforting companions and sometimes they are the only ones that understand us.

In case you're all wondering, our wonderful host happened to pair up Sienna's Gigi and I, another Sienna's nana. We don't know how she managed this, but I for one am grateful, as I have a new wonderful friend who also has a wonderful little Sienna to love.

He gets the red hearts because I love him dearly. Last but not least, I love coffee and my kitties. Oops, I forgot to take a picture of the back. Flowers make me happy so they cover the back of my mug rug!
Very sunny and cheery. I like!
