It works. My DH has restless leg syndrome that was so bad that at one point I got rid of our king sized bed and got two twins put together so I could shove him across the room if it got bad. Happily, we are now back to just one bed! :-D

I buy tonic water-it has a little bit of quinine in it . You have to look at the label to make sure. Bitter as h--l bt I drink a glass of it every nite and my leg cramps have eased up. Be sure to let your doctor know especially if you are on any prescription drugs

We tried tonic water, bananas and a few other things. We have now had a bar of Dial soap under the sheets and near the middle of the bed for 6-7 years now. I didn't tell when first putting it under the sheets but it worked anyway. I have wondered about putting a new bar in after all this time, but it's working so I guess we'll leave it be. Who cares why it works, as long as it does.

It really does work, I used to wake up screaming with cramps. I use Ivory bar soap under the sheets. One night I did wake up with a cramp and went to feel for the soap under the sheets, but it was gone, it fell to the floor. I don't think it's all in the head for that night. Put the soap back under the sheets. I sure is cheaper than drugs.

When I get leg cramps at night, I rub vinegar on my legs. It usally gives me immediate relief. I keep a small spray bottle on my night stand.

I've heard that you should use Irish Spring soap.

Soap did not work for me, nor did taping 3 pennies to my leg work. Somewhere I got the idea from suggested trying Hyland's Leg Cramp pills. I actually found them at Wally and they work wonderfully for me. Maybe it is all in what you think will work. I don't know, all I know is Hyland's works for me. They do have quinine in them.

i've tried everything - magnesium, potassium, different soaps, nothing has ever worked - only a quinine pill when i go to bed with at least 8 ounces of regular water. i order my qinine pills from canada. once a year i have to get my doctor to write a prescription and i mail it to them. if anybody wants the name, address and phone number of the pharmacy, i'll be glad to pm it to you. it takes about 3 weeks to get the package which is sent registered mail.

What also works is potassium supplement or drinking tonic water.
