I have made burp clothes out of cloth diapers and embroidered and decorated them. Yours are precious and love your idea & perfect for practice quilting. I need to get some made and that's a neat idea. Thanks so much for sharing.

www.youcanmakethis.com has a FREE pattern that looks very much like the ones made here. (Just in case some of you folks are like me, I'll make the first by a pattern then do my own thing!)

Like the decorative stitches. Good place to try them. These will be used over and over!

THAT IS FOR SURE. DIAPERS DID THE TRICK VERY NICELY. THE GOOD OLD DAYS. BUT WE HAVE LEARNED A LOT. I WANT TO TRY OUT THE BURP CLOTHS. THEY LOOK EASY TO MAKE.

These came out so cute. What a great idea to use them to practice your FMQ'ing on and what a great use for your bias tape.
Before my 1st grandchild was born in 1999 one of my DDIL's requests was for burping cloths. At that time they were 3 dollars and up. I didnot know how to sew at the time but it would have been great to make these if I did, would have saved a lot of money.

How adorable! I have made a couple baby quilts lately for gifts. I would love to have the pattern or size that you used to make matching burp cloths. Thanks.

Great idea! Better than a plain cloth diaper.
