My best friend is Patricia (Patty)...I think Deborah (Debbie) was in the top 10 in the 50's, too. I named my daughter (who's 34) Alicia. We pronounce it Aleesha. At the time that was different. And my son (who's 25) is named Logan. Logan was really unusual then and we took some grief from friends for naming him that. But, now it's everywhere. I have one granddaughter named Alexis and that is fairly common now days, but my youngest granddaughter is name Reaghan and there aren't many of those.

Try being a Jennifer born in the 80's. :) I've always liked my mom's name though - Charmaine.

And I do have an Aunt Gail

Not to many spell it this way.
My step fathers sister`s last name after she married was Gale. How ironic is that!

My younger sister is Gale, she also had a twin named Dale. I think that,s why it is spelled that way.

I'm a Gail, born in 1940. Several Gails and Gayles in this area. I had to switch our account name at the dry cleaners because they were constanly getting our clothes mixed up. Three with the same first and last names. Two of us spelled Gail and one spelled Gayle. At school (I was a first grade teacher), the children called me Ms. Gail. Well, as little ones do, it always sounded like MiGail-- they dropped the s sound on Miss. My DH still calls me MiGail.
