I used to sew for my kids when they were little, and make some of my own clothing. I also love to make dolls.

My most recent project was covers for my sewing machine and serger although they were quilted covers. I have an outfit cut out for myself waiting to be sewn.

I sew clothes, curtains, purses, totes and do alterations. I am currently working on my first quilt, but its just a rag quilt thought it would be easier to start with. I would love to see some of the dolls alot of you are talking about you make, I would love to make dolls.

I started working at the drycleaners in town, hemming pants and doing repairs. This progressed to shortening drapes, and relining jackets and umpteen coat zippers. Also worked 10 years for a bridal shop, I particularly enjoyed doing the beadwork on the dresses (after making the alterations). I found that very relaxing. Today, my hubby has to wrap his jeans around the sewing machine to make sure they get mended!

I use to sew for my children, especially for my daughter. My greatest joy was making her wedding dress. I use to do all kinds of crafts. I did costume sewing while in college. Neither my children or grandchildren have ever had a store bought costume. I passion now is quilting. I just don't have enough time to devote to it.
