[BUT - I line up all of the bobbins that have colors I am not using, are low on threads etc - and use them when putting together scrap quilt pieces. Uses them up and clears the way for other colors when I need to refill.

Julie, I neveer thought of doing this! Great idea also using up the old thread this way! Thanks for the idea!

i've also put my scrap bobbins on the thread spool for the top thread - works great, get rid of all those partial bobbins twice as quick.

I love this idea I make scrappy quilts for kids in crisis and I'll bet they will not even notice the different colors either. :thumbup:
