I just got one a week ago, with my husband's Military discount, plus I used the regular 40% off off regular price. Its really nice, as I have a bad back and bending over is terrible on me. Now I am finding standing is also bad, I need to get a thick rubber rug to stand on as my sewing room is in my Florida room. The table is awesome, no more aching back. He now thinks I need a larger cutting board I have never seen one that folds or rolls up, and I was told to always use a self healing mat. the sewing table is 17" wide x 36" deep x 35" high. What is your opinion on which type of mat??
Get the table at JoAnns, Linda King

I have a table from Hancock's that works well for me. Also had trouble before with a surface that was not high enough and hurt my back. I'm 5'4". The table folds down to a narrow width and fits against a wall in my living room when not in use. It is not unstable at all and has casters to move which lock when needed. I bought it on sale for about 80$, I think.

i took 2x4s and made a frame to set a counter top on. by doing this i was able to make the legs the length i need for me. and it works beautifull, you can stain the legs or paint them

I purchased a 4 ft table from Sam's Club. It has adjustable legs and when raised all the way it is the perfect height for cutting. The best thing is it will fold up flat to store if I want. I usually leave it up in the middle of the room under strong fluorescent lights.

I agree. I have a cutting table these days but used the island in my kitchen with a cutting mat laid on top of it for many years. It's a lot easier on your back.

I did this too. Works great. Sure saves the back as I can't cut on a low surface any more either.

We take the risers you buy to elevate beds to quilt camp. Thus we have some higher tables to cut fabrics. They are inexpensive and work well. Two or more people usually bring them.
