LOVE the alternating colors -- it would work better with whatever color sashing you'll use & borders, too. What a lovely baby quilt it will be!

I like the one with alternating colors, but I would take it one step further to give the pinwheels movement. Leave the top left block as is. In the second block top left rotate the blades one turn to the right; bottom right rotate two turns to the right; bottom left rotate three turns to the right. This will look as if each of your alternating blocks were rotating clockwise and spinning. Just a thought.
