I have one just like it and love it. Bought it the day I turned 18 and run it all the time. Prefer it to my 2 newer ones any day.

cjomomma-all it may need is a new cord-I'd gamble on the $10.00 and see.
These wonderful old machines are awesome and work forever. Finding the treasure in the "sewing desk" was an awesome surprise-enjoy.

You have a Singer 66-1, I have one just like yours and its a treadle. Great machine! I have pieced quite a bit with my machine. In the picture we're piecing swap blocks.

1910 Singer 66-1 a mere 101 years old.
