Thanks for the laugh! It's good you are able to keep your sense of humor. I don't have MS but have had to check to make sure I was actually pressing on the pedal rather than something else that had strayed under my table; sometimes the dog, sometimes a book, it could be just about anything!.

Darn foot pedal! I have 3 siblings and they all have MS, so I have witnessed their struggles since I was a young person. I hope that you can find a way to continue to enjoy sewing. Whatever happens, know that even if you can't sew you can still share your skills and knowledge with others. I admire you, God Bless you!

LOL! You sound so much like my younger sister who has breast cancer. She doesn't dwell on what she can't do, she focuses on what she can do and keeps us in stitches all the way! Too tired? She says, "would love to but I have an appointment with my recliner and the tv tonight!"

Thanks for the positive talk! You're a blessing!

My mini dachshund loves to sleep under my sewing desk area, too. I have to kick him out of the way to sew. One day, I felt him there & kicked & kicked & kicked & he didn't leave. Turns out it was my houseshoe that I was kicking! :)

Wow, I've got MS also!! Pipp, loved your story.

You have to laugh or you'll cry. Right?

I have peripheral neuropathy. There are good days and bad. During a bad spell my husband mounted the foot pedal on the side of the sewing cabinet so I could use my knee instead of foot. What I love about human nature is that we continue to strive instead of giving up.

I know what you mean - I was diagnosed with MS in 1994 but am doing pretty well - not progressing too much. But it can be frustrating when your legs won't cooperate. But sewing helps keep me sane and is my relaxation and salvation. My dog loves to be in the sewing room with me and she is also very patient altho I've never had her under my cabinet. I know some days are better than others so enjoy the good ones and quilt!!

I'm so sorry about the MS, but glad that you are still able to sew. And you have a good sense of humor! Thanks for the giggle this morning about the dog.
