    Every time I see something like this, I wonder why I did not think to do this? Thanks for the idea. I am definitely making one as I am always looking for my pincushion while pulling pins as I sew which I invariably leave at my cutting table.

    Sew cute and very handy. Guess what my secret pal is getting for the month of June.

    I've used crushed walnut shells (Lizard litter if you buy it in the pet store) when I've made pin cushions before. Do you think there's any reason why that wouldn't work for this? I love the idea, but will definitely put some cardboard against the back of it.

    What a neat idea! How come I never think of things like this? I know, my supply of Swedish Fish ran out and I'm experiencing withdrawal. Which brings up a question, how many of you have little snacks in your sewing room to keep up your strength?

    Better face it. If you sew at all, no matter what contraption you have, a pin or needle will find its way onto the floor. It is the nature of the beast. ;)
    Oh so true. No matter how careful I am while sewing I am always amazed when I clean up & find stray pins on the floor. one of the best gadgets I ever bought myself was a magnetic bowl {harbor freight in the auto section}

    Thanks for showing this wonderful idea. I have to tell you that no matter how many pin cushions I have, I'm notorius for pinning them in my sleeve!

    ooohhhh. I LOVE this! I'm definitely making one. Wonder if I just put a magnet strip in the fabric instead of stuffing.
