I've bought them all..for one reason or another through the years..but when we moved this year into a new condo and I was setting up my new sewing room..I found the one I had saved by years and had the most used ones was "Quiltmaker"

I use to get a few , but quit all subscrptiond. Don't like Fons and Porter anymore becasue there is usually only one that I care for, if that. I have so many that I would have to live to be 200 to make all those that I like so don't need any more.

After many years of getting about 8 different magazines, I have downsized to just American Patchwork and Quilting. Really don't care much for F&P anymore, they have drifted away from my traditional style. Rarely make any of the patterns, but love the information and pictures in AP&Q.

Here's one not to subscribe to. A few months ago I received an offer from Fons and Porter for a half-price subscription with three (count 'em, 3!) free prizes. Sounded good to me so I ordered. After a few weeks I received a billing statement. Waited another few weeks; another billing statement. With that, I sent an email "Where's my magazine and my free stuff?" A few days later a reply arrived in my inbox: "Yes, we know we never sent the free items. They will be sent within a few weeks." Another few weeks pass and, guess what! I got a 3rd billing statement. After 3 months I wrote Fons and Porter and said "CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION." They did; no explanation, no apology. no free stuff and no magazine.

I like Love of Quilting, Fons and Porter's. I do not care for their kits, though. They have beautiful patterns with instructions in the magazine.

I wholeheartedly agree with Shelbie.........the patterns are so busy and diffuse one can hardly pick them out. I have dropped all subscriptions except for Quilters Newsletter. Heron Lady
