I bought my wedding dress on ebay about a year and a half ago. It came all the way from Hong Kong in a box this size. I couldn't believe it was all there so I opened it in the car at the post office.....it was vacuum packed in there. When I opened it *POOF* tulle everywhere!

What's up is they know stuff about shipping you don't.

My husband ran the box shop for a major beef packing plant. They had around 400 different products and the inventory just for packaging and shipping was over 2 million in vacuum bags, boxes and labels.

It's far more expensive to keep packaging for every possible variation of order than it is to stock a few standard sizes.
